a little howdy from spring break in Michigan

Just stopping by to post some of our photos from our spring break in Michigan. We are staying in Eli's corporate apartment in downtown Lansing - with no car. There are several interesting destinations within walking distance: the public library, children's museum, a quaint little peanut & candy shop, a bakery. I'm happy to show my daughters that not every situation requires a car, the way our suburban life in Austin does. They have been resistant to going out walking, but have enjoyed themselves once we've gotten out and about. Here are some snap shots we've taken on our little explorations:

 Michigan has been unseasonably warm this week, and it's only rained once. We couldn't have hoped for better weather. I'm looking forward to spending the summer here - already dreaming up the fun projects the girls and I can tackle.
