a little spring tour from back home

Hey, there! I'm actually posting this Austin photo collage from Eli's apartment in Michigan. The girls and I are so happy to spend spring break here, having the whole family together for ten consecutive days!

March has blown into Austin in full force, bringing blue skies and flip flop weather. Last weekend, I took a little time to mosey around town with my camera, looking for beauty and art in the everyday world around me. I love to walk around with my camera at the ready - it prompts me to pay much more attention to my surroundings that I otherwise would - I'm a perpetual daydreamer. So. I wandered along East 6th Street and Manor Road, then traipsed along South Congress Avenue, weaving in and out of the crowds. I enjoyed a chili cheese dog and waffle fries downtown at Frank (Hot Dogs Cold Beer), sipped a latte on the patio at Thunderbird, and swooned over a few antique mason jars at Uncommon Objects. A wonderful day all around!

Looking at these photos makes me homesick. But Michigan is unseasonably warm and just on the verge of bursting into spring! I've been taking lots of photos and will share them soon.

Hope all is well with you & that this change in seasons finds you happy and well.

Affectionately, Tracy

  1. I've heard such good things about Austin. One of these days I'll make the trek from Vancouver BC! Great pics!
