Best Mother's Day Ever!

Today, my little sweet peas woke me up with a song, made me homemade chocolate waffles with raspberries and cream (with more than a little help from their dad), presented me with new art supplies, took me on a picnic, a bike ride and a hike, gave me time to knit and to read magazines, and made me my favorite dinner ever.  Here are some photos I took on our hike at Mayfield Park.  It was nearly 100 degrees - even the peacocks were hot!  Do you see Clarissa walking on the stepping stones stones in the left photo?  Usually in May, those stepping stones would lead across a rushing stream.  Oh, how we need rain.

Hooray for my precious little sweet peas and their sweet papa for making this the best Mother's Day in my decade (!) of Mother's Days.
