Spring Break 2011

Today is the last day of spring break.  After oatmeal for breakfast at Grandma's house this morning, we piled into the rental car one last time and headed to City Beach in Grand Haven.  It was a windy not-yet-spring morning, but the girls were happy to stamp around looking for driftwood and shells.

It's night time now. We are settled back in our hotel by the airport - bags packed, boarding passes printed, ready to head back to Texas tomorrow morning.  Spring break went by way too quickly this year.  I wonder what it will feel like to be back in Austin, where it's supposed to be 90 degrees later this week.  I suspect the rest of the school year will zoom by in a blur, and before I know it, summer will be here.  I will try to slow down and savor the spring before it's gone.
