Baking is lovely.

Saturday morning, while my sweetheart was out on a bike ride, and my lovely, sleepyhead daughters were lounging about, I was humming a happy tune, bustling about the kitchen.  I intended to make biscuits, but we had no buttermilk.  I stumbled upon a recipe for scones, discovered strawberries in the fridge - and set about making strawberry shortcake.  For breakfast!  Baking on a Saturday morning really is lovely.
