Date night

Last weekend, the girls spent the night at their grandmother's house.  They watched too much television, ate too much junk food, and stayed up later than they ever have before.  In other words, they had a ball! My sweetie and I took advantage of the free childcare - thanks, mom! - and headed out for a date.  Plans fell through, things didn't turn out as we planned, and anyway we found ourselves hungry and in east Austin at dinner time.  We happened by Buenos Aires Cafe, an old favorite, at just the right moment.  We gobbled up empanadas, sipped gazpacho, and enjoyed each other's company.  It was lovely.  My favorite part was the cuatro leches cake.  Well, the cake and the time alone with my sweetie, talking and talking together as the cars and bicycles zoomed by outside the window and the sun sank low.

Now, this weekend I am snuggled in my pajamas, editing photos, blogging, and remembering the lovely evening I spent with my love.  But now, it's time for bedtime stories and snuggles.  What a lucky girl I am!
